Expression

My creative work is a visual record of internal conversations and questions that aim to clarify my perspectives as a queer mother and socially engaged educator. It is a space that adapts and tends to my needs, allowing me to process my relationships within myself and everything in my environment. My family and classroom communities embrace nuero-divergence and practice alternative learning modalities. I see art making as a somatic activity that supports mental health and enables connection between often disparate mind-body experiences. I enjoy maintaining a range of creative practices that include: caregiving, space-making, movement, plant propagation, fiber arts and digital & analog medias.
